Light vs. Dark #4 & #5

I think that the first image is strong because it directly connects with my theme. I think the the second image is a weakness because it is much simpler and it doesn't convey much meaning. I going to try and develop it into something more. I think it will be easy to expand on this idea.
In my next works I want to use more shadows and to play with color more. I also want to incorporate a rainbow.

Light and Dark #2 and #3

These are my concentrations #2 and #3.
I think the strong blackness in all of my concentrations connect them together. I think the theme is a little vague but I think with more works added it will get stronger.
I have started to move away from just doing straight forward photography. This is mostly shown in my third work. In the third work I had to learn more about photoshop to achieve the effect I was looking to create.
Here are some visual resources:
This one helped with the second concentration.

This is the effect I want to achieve for my fourth concentration. I want to create something with a window to have strong darkness invaded by light.

Work #1

I was unable to complete my first idea due to issues of lighting. its just not the right season to capture the right light for that idea. Instead I created a dark room to make capture silhouettes. I plan on revisiting my first idea for another work. The work incorporates the theme of light vs. darkness. I think the work was successful but I wish that it was stronger. But I'm not sure how I could make it stronger. I think the theme will show more once I have more than one work. I think a  diptych will better  convey the central idea. I really what to create a group of works that are not only strong but captivating. I want to learn to work in a timely manner and to be happy with the finished product.

Concentration

For my concentration for AP Studio Art I'm going to play with the effects of different lighting to create different moods within a work.
For my first one I want to use photography to capture light coming through a window.
For my second one I want to create a diptych to show contrast between light and dark.
For my third piece I want to use a light box to capture the different shapes made by light. In this one I could also use people to create silhouettes.
